A shop-in-shop is a concept in retail meaning that a fashion, beauty, or other company rents a space to open its store inside a department store. To put it simply, it’s a store within a larger store. For example, Bergdorf Goodman in New York, the Galeries Lafayette in Paris, La Rinascente in Milan, and Harrods in London rent their spaces to fashion and beauty brands that open their own store inside.
