What’s new in the fashion business
Coach is suing GAP Inc.
Coach and its parent company Tapestry filed a suit against GAP for trademark infringement, as the group’s Old Navy T-shirts feature the word “coach”. Tapestry argued that this “might cause confusion among customers, who might believe there's an association between the brands,” Fashionista reports.

What’s new in sustainability 🌱
NGO Earthsight released an investigative report, which claims that the cotton certified by Better Cotton label used by H&M and Zara has been linked to deforestation, illegal land clearing, and human rights abuses in Cerrado, located in western Bahia of Brazil. The Brazilian cotton producers SLC Agrícola and Groupo Horita are currently under investigation by the country’s federal and state agencies.
H&M and Zara assured the press they are looking into the supply chain issue, while Zara’s parent company Inditex issued a letter to Better Cotton’s CEO.
Better Cotton’s certifications are used by many major brands, so the concerns about the company’s credibility are high, and it will be interesting to follow how the research about this issue evolves. You can find the full Earthsight report here.
What’s new in beauty 💄
Jessica Alba is no longer The Honest Company's chief creative officer

Letter to the Future”, it was curated by Alessio de’Navasques, a lecturer in fashion archives at Sapienza University of Rome.
