LMVH Wants to hire over 2000 people by the end of the year! Could you be one of them?
LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton is officially hiring! Yes, they are always hiring, but this year they are on a mission to extend their team by 2000 people by the end of 2022. As the world’s largest luxury group, job vacancies are peaking like never before for skilled workers.
If you didn’t know: In 1987 Louis Vuitton merged with Moët et Chandon and Hennessy, the leading manufacturers of champagne ad cognac to form a luxury goods conglomerate, that we know globally today as LVMH.
LMVH is now a multinational corporation and conglomerate specializing in luxury goods with its HQ in Paris. The aim of this conglomerate was and continues to be to ensure the long-term development of each house to maintain its identity, heritage, and expertise.
LVMH is now home to over 75 distinguished houses including, Fendi, Givenchy, and Dior.
Now you know how LVMH came to exist, they currently have 2,000 vacancies left to fill from leather goods workers, jewellers, sales associates, watchmakers, and even hotel and restaurant workers. (As we all know even fashion is expanding into luxury dining experiences.)
“We have a record number of vacancies this year. We have 2,000 left to fill by the end of the year and we need leather goods workers, jewelers, watchmakers and sales associates, as well as hotel and restaurant workers. And if we project ourselves a little further out to 2024, we’re talking about 30,000 positions to be filled to ensure continuity,” - Chantal Gaemperle, executive vice president of human resources
So it’s better to be prepared to apply the best way possible, right? Watch this free masterclass where I’ll share with you 3 steps to stand out from the competition (and for a job at LVMH the competition is fierce!) so you can finally land your dream job in fashion.

Alessandro Michele takes to the stage at the V&A Museums
The Gucci creative director joined Monday evening as Gucci sponsor the Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear exhibition
As the first major exhibition within the V&A to explore and celebrate the power, creativity, and diversity of masculine fashion, it of course was well suited when Gucci partnered with the exhibition with their clear gender-neutral values and exploration of men’s fashion.
Alessandro Michele spoke to the Fashion Features Director of Another magazine, Alexander Fury on Monday evening at the museum. Where he exclaimed, “I hate the word unisex”.
The exhibition celebrates how men’s clothing has evolved and transformed over time, dating right back to the 17th century to today.
“Going through the pieces that are not just mine, but seeing how powerful the idea of clothes are. It’s pretty interesting that in 2022, we are looking at the past to find the future, that’s the thing that moved me a lot.” - Alessandro Michele
Gucci has evolved with Michele into gender-fluid, costume design-focused attire, building strong relationships with renowned musicians from Elton John to Harry Styles, he has changed menswear fashion forever.
Manolo Blahnik Wins Decades-long Legal Battle In China
This Tuesday the luxury shoe label Manolo Blahnik announced they had finally won their 22-year legal battle over in China surrounding a trademark issue.
The dispute began back in 1999 when a competitor began calling itself "Manolo & Blahnik" and was approved by Chinese authorities.
The company which is named by their founder and creative director filed a suit with the authorities in 2000.
However the issue has been over the past 22 years that the Chinese law system favors on a first come first served basis on registering trademarks.
The two-decade-long legal battle meant they were potentially deprived of the profitable Chinese market all this time,
"We look forward with excitement to joining its dynamic future by sharing Manolo's story, creations and passions," - Blahnik's niece, company chief executive Kristina Blahnik.
Dior Sparks Online Criticism For Traditional Chinese Dressing Design
Here we go again, cultural appropriation is no stranger to the fashion world.
Dior has drawn a major controversy on the Chinese internet over a mid-length skirt that seems to resemble a traditional Chinese garment.
The luxury fashion house was criticized online for not acknowledging the possible Chinese references in the garment. In fact, the hashtag “Dior plagiarism” received 13.7 million clicks on Chinese social platforms.
However creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s original show notes show the collection is paying tribute to Christian Dior’s sister, Catherine, and is particularly inspired by school uniforms.
While some people believe Dior’s product description matched the skirt and was not misleading about Chinese culture. It in fact looks back at the brand’s infamous New Look silhouette.

Prada has joined the proliferation of luxury brands in the Hamptons. In the heart of the village of East Hampton, Prada on Friday opened a permanent, 1,600-square-foot shop situated at 2 Newtown Lane. It’s the first time the Italian luxury brand has opened a store in the Hamptons, representatives from the company confirmed.
Prada’s ivory and green stripes, also seen in certain of the luxury brand’s other locations, cover the walls, floors and furniture, and there is a green neon sign that provides a fresh interpretation of the Prada triangle logo.
The store houses the men’s and women’s collections of ready-to-wear, leather goods, footwear and accessories and also showcases a special summer-inspired grouping.
