On 365 days of fashion, we love sharing with you not only the history of iconic fashion pieces but also fragrances, as they represent the intersection between fashion and business. Today, we want to share with you the history of Miss Dior.

Did you know it was the first-ever perfume launched by Christian Dior, alongside his first “New Look” collection in 1947?

The legendary couturier once said: “Make me a fragrance that smells like love.” And so, Paul Vacher and Jean Carles composed the ideal perfume according to the designer’s wishes.

Lovely fact: It was named after Christian Dior’s sister Catherine Dior. The idea actually came to his muse
