How Do Showrooms Work?

You have probably heard of the term “showroom” but you might be wondering how it is different from other stores.

A showroom is a place to connect brands with buyers and the press. It’s an opportunity for them to get a second look at the collection after a fashion show. It’s also a chance for emerging designers and those who cannot afford to host a fashion show, to gain industry visibility and increase brand exposure.

Usually, these showrooms do not deal directly with consumers and end-users. They are different from clothing stores which are sometimes called “showrooms” and sell products to customers.

Who can visit showrooms?

The showroom manager, salesperson, assistant, and intern are those who work in a showroom. Their job is to represent the brand and show plus explain the new collection to the press, buyers, and other interested parties on demand, like stylists, VIPs, and influencers.
