As we eagerly anticipate the final days before the Fashion Industry Bootcamp enrollment doors close on Tuesday, Feb 6th, we wanted to highlight the incredible opportunity you have to learn directly from some of the most esteemed mentors in the fashion industry.
This weekend is your last chance to join and immerse yourself in a transformative experience guided by these industry experts.
Imagine being mentored by industry leaders during the Bootcamp, which aligns seamlessly with fashion weeks.
Can you envision anything more exciting and inspiring than immersing yourself in fashion education simultaneously with fashion weeks? Feel like an integral part of it, just like editors attending front-row fashion shows. This is your exclusive front-row seat to both your fashion education and your future in the fashion industry, providing the opportunity to turn your aspirations into reality.
This is the last weekend to join.
Let me break down the advantages of learning directly from these industry professionals working at the top companies of the industry such as Louis Vuitton and WGSN:
Learning from professionals adds credibility to your education and training. Being able to reference industry experts in resumes and interviews demonstrates a commitment to understanding and contributing to the industry in a meaningful way.
Networking Opportunities. Engaging with industry experts allows YOU to build valuable connections and expand YOUR professional network. Networking is a powerful tool for career growth, and having direct access to professionals can lead to mentorship, job opportunities, and collaborations.
Portfolio Enhancement: Exposure to real-world projects and challenges, as guided by industry professionals, contributes significantly to the development of a robust and industry-relevant portfolio. A portfolio showcasing practical experience is often more appealing to potential employers than a theoretical one.
In the context of landing a job or internship in fashion, these advantages translate into a more competitive and well-rounded candidate. Employers often seek candidates who not only possess theoretical knowledge but also demonstrate a practical understanding of industry dynamics and possess the skills necessary for success. Learning directly from industry professionals helps bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application, making YOU more attractive to potential employers in the highly competitive field of fashion.
I am eager to see you in the Fashion Industry Bootcamp!

Which shows are you looking most forward to?
Jacquemus unveiled a new collection
Simon Porte Jacquemus is known for staging his shows outside of the regular fashion week calendar. So on Monday, he presented his Spring 2024 collection, which he called "Les Sculptures", sharing his vision of sculptural workwear. Born in the south of France where he usually stages his shows, and as an art lover, Jacquemus chose to present his new collection at La Fondation Maeght, a modern art museum that hosts works of famous artists including Pablo Picasso, Alberto Giacometti, Joan Miró, and Georges Braque.
The collection is already available on Jacquemus’ website, which is unusual because fashion brands usually release their collections 6 months after introducing them during the shows.
DVF’s Wrap Dress celebrates its 50th anniversary
For the big occasion, Diane von Furstenberg worked on an exclusive 16-piece capsule collection that includes 9 styles designed in the Python print, and 7 pieces with a special-edition crossword puzzle print that was developed in-house with David Kwong.
We wanted to share with you a short history of the iconic DVF Wrap Dress.
It all started when Diane von Furstenberg arrived in New York in 1970 with a suitcase full of jersey dresses that she had made at her friend Angelo Ferretti’s factory in Italy. Encouraged by former Vogue editor Diana Vreeland, Diane von Furstenberg created the first wrap dress in 1974 - 2 years after launching her eponymous label.
She initially designed a cotton jersey shirt dress and a wrap dress similar to the one ballerinas wore and had the idea to mix these two pieces into one single garment - a dress that wraps around the chest.
The wrap dress was an instant sell-out and an international success. By 1976, the designer sold one million of them! The wrap silhouette became a sensation because it suited women of all ages and body types and all lifestyles. They felt sexy and empowered in this dress, which they could wear for any occasion - from work to daily errands to parties. Besides the flattering silhouette, it’s also the jersey fabric that attracted the ladies because it was comfortable, wouldn’t wrinkle, and made the dress look casual yet elevated. A true revolution of womenswear!
Moschino has a new creative director
Following the sudden death of Davide Renne last November, Moschino has been left without a creative director but recently found its new successor: Adrian Appiolaza. He will oversee the women’s, men’s, and accessories collections, and present his first collection for the brand on February 22 in Milan.
Adrian Appiolaza studied at Central Saint Martins, meanwhile working at Alexander McQueen and Miguel Ardrover. When he presented his graduate collection, Phoebe Philo liked it so much that she invited him to join Chloé in 2002. In 2006 he moved to Miu Miu, then in 2010 he joined Louis Vuitton as a senior designer, and returned to Chloé in 2012 as design director. Finally, in 2014, he embarked on a decade-long career at Loewe as a women’s ready-to-wear design director.
