Now... let’s catch up on everything that happened this week 💚
What happened this week?
Chanel acquires Charvet to preserve French craftsmanship
One of the biggest business moves of the week came from Chanel.
The French luxury house has acquired Charvet, the historic Parisian shirtmaker founded in 1838, strengthening its long-term commitment to preserving exceptional French craftsmanship.
The acquisition follows the collaboration between Matthieu Blazy and Charvet for Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2026 ready-to-wear collection. What started as a creative partnership naturally evolved into a strategic one, ensuring the future of Charvet’s workshops while preserving the brand’s identity and independence.
Rather than simply expanding its portfolio, Chanel continues investing in the artisans behind luxury. Charvet now joins the long list of specialist ateliers and manufacturers the Maison has supported over the years, reinforcing a strategy we’ve seen more and more across the industry: protecting savoir-faire before it’s lost.
Naomi Osaka just delivered Wimbledon’s best fashion moment
Wimbledon may have one of the strictest dress codes in sport, but Naomi Osaka proved that creativity always finds a way.
For her opening match, the tennis champion stepped onto the court wearing a breathtaking custom white kimono-inspired look by Hanayagi, inspired by O-Ren Ishii, Lucy Liu’s iconic character in Kill Bill.
Named “Evolving Ceremony,” the upcycled design featured detachable elements, delicate crane and cherry blossom embroidery, and perfectly respected Wimbledon’s all-white tradition.
Court couture is officially having a moment.
Collection of the Week 👀
Jacquemus turns Corsica into the world’s most beautiful runway
No one stages a destination show quite like Simon Porte Jacquemus.
For Spring/Summer 2027, the designer transformed the historic Pietra Lighthouse in Corsica into a spectacular runway overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Called Le Bonheur (”Happiness”), the collection celebrated joyful dressing through sunshine-inspired colors, airy silhouettes, sheer florals, oversized scarves, and effortless summer tailoring.
It was pure Jacquemus: deeply personal, cinematic, and impossible to forget.
Marc Jacobs proves that four minutes are enough
While most fashion shows last around 15 minutes, Marc Jacobs once again did the exact opposite.
His Spring 2027 runway lasted just four minutes, making it one of the shortest shows of the season.
Despite the speed, every look felt intentional. Vibrant color blocking, exaggerated proportions, layered accessories, and references to Prada, Chanel, Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton archives transformed the collection into a joyful celebration of fashion history.
Sometimes less really is more.
Other news of the week:
Pieter Mulier officially begins his Versace chapter
This week officially marked the beginning of Pieter Mulier’s journey at Versace.
After transforming Alaïa into one of fashion’s biggest success stories of the past five years, expectations couldn’t be higher for the Belgian designer, especially following Prada Group’s acquisition of Versace.
We won’t see his first collection until early 2027, but one thing is already clear:
Fashion will be watching very closely.
Valentino Beauty names two new global ambassadors
Valentino Beauty has announced Dakota Johnson and Alexander Skarsgård as the new faces of its upcoming global fragrance campaign.
The appointment comes as Valentino Beauty continues expanding its presence worldwide under L’Oréal, with strong momentum particularly in the U.S. market.

The Summer Fashion Camp 2026 Is Here: What It Includes and How to Join
Let me guess.
You wanted a summer internship in fashion. Maybe you applied. Maybe you sent out dozens of applications, refreshed your inbox for weeks, and heard nothing back.
And now it’s summer. Three months where it feels like your fashion dream is on pause while everyone else is “getting experience.”
The good news is that the summer you don’t have an internship can become the summer that finally moves your career forward.
When I was studying management engineering (yes, engineering, not fashion), I had no connections, no fashion degree, and no clear path in. So I spent each summer during university teaching myself everything I could about the industry. Those summers are what impressed the recruiter when I interviewed at Alexander McQueen.
That’s the whole idea behind the Summer Fashion Camp. To give you a way to turn this summer into real, visible, recruiter-ready proof that you belong in fashion, all from your laptop, wherever you are.
The 5th edition is here, and it’s the most comprehensive one yet.
