Prada Group’s revenues are up 18%
The Milanese luxury group reported nine-month revenues up 15% to 3.83 billion euros, compared with 3.34 billion euros in the same period last year. At constant exchange rates, sales rose 18% year-on-year.
Prada’s sister label, the hottest brand of Q3 2024 is largely responsible for the growth, as the brand’s retail sales more than doubled in the third quarter, rising 105% year-on-year. The group’s CEO Andrea Guerra said to WWD that the company “expects to continue this positive trajectory from 2025 and on until 2027.”
These positive numbers show that Prada continues to outperform its rivals Kering and LVMH, where sales fell 16% and 3% respectively in the third quarter.
Estée Lauder Cos. shares plunge more than 20%
The cosmetics giant withdrew its annual forecast and reported a decrease of 4% in the first quarter of 2025 net sales to $3.36 billion, which sent the stock down 20.89% to $68.94. The reason for the decline is a consumer spending slowdown in major markets, particularly China. “We anticipate still-strong declines near-term for the industry in China and Asia travel retail,” current CEO Fabrizio Freda told WWD.
Jacquemus is looking for a minority investor
Simon Porte Jacquemus announced he is seeking a minority investor to support his brand’s expansion amid a luxury market slowdown. “I value my independence, I want to pass down this company to my children, but I have to break through the glass ceiling by finding the right partner, who would only have a minority,” the designer told the French newspaper Le Figaro.

Fashion Career Tip
Organization is one of the most important skills to work in fashion. It’s the basis of every well-executed job, demonstrates responsibility, and guarantees trust from your boss and the whole team. So whatever career you seek in fashion, being super organized is important.
You might think it’s mostly a must-have for senior roles that have a lot of responsibilities, but it’s not true. Fashion interns and assistants especially need strong organizational skills because their job is to support someone else’s work. They spend most of their time in a magazine cupboard, packing and unpacking clothes, organizing contact databases, etc.
In my recent article, I share some organizational tips I used from my first fashion internship at Alexander McQueen to my current occupation as the CEO of Glam Observer. Read the article here to find out how to stay organized at your fashion office – from the first weeks to maintaining the perfect routine and organization on a regular basis.
